We are proud of our board member Angela J. Grayson, CIPP-US, CLP! She was invited to speak on her IP expertise to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary about the importance of how women and people of color are innovating, but many do not take the next step to patent their ideas. WHO
WE ARE
MIHCA is a unique association of attorneys dedicated to the professional development and career advancement of minorities who are or aspire to be in-house counsel. Our primary objective is to increase diversity in corporations.
MIHCA creates bonds within our community, connecting a core group of trusted advisors, mentors, coaches and friends. MIHCA was founded on the notion that people come first, not special interests, that leadership is defined by communication, and that education is social, not didactic. MIHCA is designed for you, motivated by your professional goals, needs and ambitions.
We are dedicated to providing the knowledge, tools, skills, resources and networks to build your professional brand and advance the next generation of leaders.

WHAT
WE DO
MIHCA connects world-class legal and corporate members to increase diversity in law firms and corporations nationwide. Based on their experience and perspective, those in high-level positions provide insight and guidance to others seeking such roles or experiencing professional challenges. The exchange of information and resources is fundamental to the desired rise in access to and placement of minorities in prominent roles.
Throughout the year, we arrange live and virtual meetings where members develop and nurture relationships, improve business acumen, receive coaching on business skills and learn about specific job opportunities.
WHY
WE DO IT
MIHCA aims for personal, professional and community progress. In an increasingly global landscape, it is important to expand employment opportunities to include all races, ethnicities and cultures. Increasing, and bringing together, people of various backgrounds results in greater perspective, innovation and overall success for ourselves, our communities and our country.
Importantly, MIHCA members come together to innovate. Authentic and challenging conversation provides a platform for collaboration on new ideas, solutions and plans that advance our objective and identify best practices for success.
OUR
PARTNERS
MIHCA partners with select organizations aligned with our purpose. These partners work with us to expand our reach, provide additional guidance and resources to address the dynamic nature of the legal and business landscape, and develop new opportunities for our members.
